Salam! Habari! Hello! Sannu! Marhaban! Witam!

I’m Iona, a Birmingham born and bred Caribbean (Jamaican to be precise) Muslim mama to my fabulous tribe of five who have given me the most and best life lessons and the reasons why I think next to Womanhood, Motherhood rocks!

An avid reader, plant mama, lightworker, random dancer and a sista drawn to all things natural, Holistic and oldskool.

I love my Islamic way of life, my Caribbean and African culture and cultures and traditions around the world interest and intrigue much especially the ones that are family orientated and include tasty foods.

When not tending to my own tribe, you’ll find me around the inner city schools teaching and supporting the coolest SEN children around.

Making sure mothers are well informed and educated, seen and heard, loved and laughing, comfortable and at peace as they journey in, through and beyond motherhood and parenthood is ital and vital in my work and what I’m about when creating and holding space for them all.
