With all that’s going on in the world, it can be hard to know where to turn to for information and support.

Let’s Talk Black Birth is here for you.

We look at what it means to be Black and birthing, as well as covering all the usual antenatal information. We encourage you to look back into your ancestral heritage to access knowledge passed down, or left for us today so that we can bring wisdom forward into modern birth.

We are not here to focus on a cookie cutter way of being. We talk about all the things that are important to you and give you the opportunity to learn how to identify and make choices within the maternity system.

About Mars

Mars has been a doula and antenatal teacher for over 15 years. She brings with her a vast array of knowledge having attended hundreds of births. She currently trains new doulas and is a passionate birth activist and reproductive justice warrior, looking to close the disparity gap in maternal mortality. Mars believes that education is key, and knowing where to find support and information can be a game changer.

Mars is a mother of five children (including twins) and Nona (grandmother) to one (plus an extra that she’s unofficially adopted).
