I live in Selsey, by the sea, with my husband and my two children. My first daughter’s birth was traumatic and I felt as though I was not in control, with no knowledge or understanding of the process I was going through. I decided after the birth of my second daughter that I wanted to be involved in the birth world, to help other people giving birth to know their rights and to feel supported and powerful. When not supporting parents I can be found either taking photos or sipping a nice glass of prosecco (or sometimes both).

Bio
I believe that birth is a sacred and powerful rite of passage that can be positive and empowering. Having a doula ensures that you have continuity of care, access to accurate information and an experienced guide along this journey who can hold and protect the space for you. I listen with an open heart helping you to identify your preferences and support your decisions. If you have a partner, I work with him/her to approach the birth with confidence. The feedback that I most receive from clients is that I bring a sense of calm. And we laugh a lot! I am a co-founder of Birthing in Colour.

Bio
I live in the Southside of Glasgow with my son Sam and husband Steven. I am a yoga teacher and studio owner. I was brought up on a small holding so I’m an animal lover and I have a bulldog named Mogwai. I studied French and Spanish at university and lived and worked abroad before settling back in Scotland. I love cooking, swimming and yoga. Making my passion for yoga into a career has been a really rewarding experience and I chose to broaden this to include postnatal care. I passionately believe that the concept of a struggling mother doing everything on her own should be challenged. Modern day living is a solitary experience except motherhood was never set up to be that way. As the saying goes it takes a village and rightly so.
